GROUND PIS: THE PASSENGER INFORMATION TERMINAL

The PIS calculator, which is placed in each bus, will inform in real time its GPS position and its travel time to a computer server thabks to a GPRS telephone link.

The server will analyse these datas and compare it to the theoretical hourly passage at stops. Thanks to a GPRS link, the server will display on all the post stops and teminal information :

     - theoretical waiting time

     - the actual time required before the arrival of the bus (asservi à la position du bus)

     - la destination du bus et du temps réel pour atteindre les terminaux (slaved to the position of the bus)

     - the time required for the arrival of the second bus
